Design Research
The studio built upon Rubert Maleczek’s Ph.D thesis, an exploration of the relationship between form, structure, performance, and material. This experiment is conducted through an algorithm using a linear strip folded along two planar surfaces. These modular strips are duplicated and rotated to form a 360* rotational body.
